[McKinney, Texas] - Community Lifeline Center (CLC), a non-profit organization dedicated to providing assistance and resources to individuals and families in need, is proud to announce the unveiling of their newly wrapped refrigerated truck.  Christened in a ceremony at the First United Bank branch located on Redbud Boulevard in McKinney, the truck will help CLC provide thousands of meals to hungry residents throughout Collin County.

organizations that share CLC's commitment to improving the lives of residents throughout Collin County. The truck is used to distribute food to Community Lifeline Center’s Mobile Distribution events, which occur every weekend in McKinney. Additionally, CLC uses the truck to help distribute fresh produce and other food to local organizations, such as Meals on Wheels of Collin County.
"CLC is thrilled to have this new truck to help us feed our neighbors in need," said Michael Schwerin, Executive Director of CLC. "The continued challenge of inflation coupled with the rising cost of living here in Collin County has meant that the number of neighbors who need our assistance has continued to grow, even beyond what it was during the COVID-19 pandemic. With the help of the North Texas Food Bank and First United Bank we can meet this ever growing demand.”
In addition to providing food, Community Lifeline Center also provides financial assistance to those neighbors experiencing a crisis. In 2022, CLC served 25,088 neighbors throughout Collin County. The organization relies on the support of individuals and corporations like First United Bank to continue to provide these vital resources to neighbors in need.
"We are honored to support Community Lifeline Center and their efforts to make a difference in our community," said Kevin Griffin, Market President for First United Bank. "We believe in building healthy communities, and what better way to do that than through this partnership with CLC. We are proud to be able to help them distribute nutritious food to our neighbors throughout Collin County.”
We also could not do our work without our partnership with North Texas Food Bank. “We simply could not do what we do in the fight against hunger without the support of feeding partners like Community Lifeline Center,” said Trisha Cunningham, President and CEO of the North Texas Food Bank. “Our grant program provides needed resources to our food pantries and community partners allowing them to serve more people in their community. We are grateful for the commitment and dedication of Community Lifeline Center to hunger relief in our community.”
