Community Lifeline Center, the north Collin County service provider for families in crisis, was officially welcomed by the McKinney Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber’s ribbon cutting ceremony, hosted in May, represents official recognition for area businesses and services.
Community Lifeline Center, located at 503 North Kentucky Street, in downtown McKinney, was founded in 1989. The organization helps hundreds of local individuals and families manage short term crises, through financial support, training and job skills counseling, medical and dental services, and credit advocacy.
According to Executive Director Christine Hockin-Boyd, “Our goal is to provide more than a hand – we help create a plan, so that families can navigate through an unforeseen crisis, back to self sufficiency. Community Lifeline Center opens new doors for clients, so there is no need for them to walk back through ours.”
